Who we are

Mission statement

The Gabrielle Roy House was established to offer the community, and indeed the whole world, a museum that is a fitting tribute to Gabrielle Roy, to disseminate her works, and to protect our cultural heritage.

Goals and objectives

In this historic house will be assembled a collection of objects and artefacts that belonged to Gabrielle Roy and members of her family during the years 1909–1937. Through its educational, informative, and entertaining programming, the museum will enable young people, researchers, and the general public to learn more about the author, her works, and her influence. In addition to being a tourist attraction, Gabrielle Roy House will be a cornerstone of the cultural development of St. Boniface.
